About This Event

When NASA sends the first astronauts to explore near the lunar South Pole, Artemis astronauts will don intricately designed, next-generation spacesuits built by commercial providers that are uniquely tailored for the lunar environment. These suits will need to fit a broad range of crew members and will incorporate upgraded life-support systems and innovative tools while also allowing for a wider range of motion like never before.

Hear from Kathryn Bock, a space suit test engineer at NASA's Johnson Space Center, as we discuss the design and testing needed for the next-generation space suits that will protect astronauts as they live and work on the Moon and beyond!

All programs are live-streamed via the Intrepid Museum’s Facebook, YouTube, and X and NSF’s YouTube channel.
